<hi style=afpcap>The Beech AT-10 was developed as a transition trainer designed as an alternative to the usage of all-metal aircraft, being constructed of non-strategic metals. The entire airframe apart from the engine nacelles was of wooden construction offering a considerable saving of precious metal. Beech built more than 1,700 at their Wichita facility while a further 600 were constructed in Dallas by Globe. The AT-10 is the aircraft nearest the camera, with an AT-7 navigational trainer, next, and lastly an AT-11 bombing and gunnery trainer. The AT-7 and AT-11 are essentially similar apart from the latter having a glazed nose.</hi>
